Straight smiles, long friendships.
Braces and clear aligners for kids, teens, and adults. Most ortho courses run 12–24 months — that's a lot of small visits with the same dentist. We try to make them all worth turning up for.
Treatments under Orthodontics.
Different tools, same goal: a bite that works and a smile you like.
Traditional braces
Modern ceramic or metal brackets. Reliable, predictable, the most flexible option for complex cases.
Clear aligners
Removable, near-invisible trays. Best for mild-to-moderate cases. Convenient, but only if you actually wear them 22h/day.
Early-intervention (Phase 1)
For kids around 7–9 with crowding or bite issues. Sometimes prevents bigger ortho work later.
Adult orthodontics
Straightening that fits around an adult life. Often shorter than people expect — 9–14 months is common.
Retainers
The unglamorous step that makes everything else last. Custom-made, replaced when worn.
A long, steady process — handled gently.
Ortho is unusual in dentistry: it's an arc, not a single appointment. The first consult is about figuring out whether you need it (some don't), what the realistic options are, and what the timeline looks like. We don't oversell aligners for cases that really need braces, and we don't push braces when aligners would work.
Once you start, visits are typically every 6–8 weeks. They're short — 15–20 minutes for adjustments. You'll see Dr. Rivera most of the time. Most people are surprised how routine the visits become, and how quickly the months go.
Consult
X-rays, photos, scan of your teeth. We map out 2–3 realistic options.
Decide
Costs in writing, timeline locked, payment plan if useful.
Adjustments
Every 6–8 weeks. Short, friendly visits.
Retention
Retainers when active treatment ends. Worn long-term to hold the result.
Dr. Rivera sees your child at every appointment — same gentle face, every month, until the day the braces come off.

Common questions about orthodontics.
Around age 7. Usually nothing needs doing yet — but that's the age where we can start spotting whether something will. Earlier intervention sometimes prevents bigger treatment later.
For many cases, yes. For complex bite issues, severe crowding, or rotations, traditional braces are still the better tool. We'll be honest about which fits your case.
Adults: often 9–14 months for moderate cases. Teens: 18–24 months for full braces. Aligner cases: 6–18 months depending on complexity.
Routinely. Roughly a third of our ortho patients are adults. Most weren't candidates as kids, or didn't get treatment then for whatever reason.
No. We offer monthly payment plans for ortho, interest-free, spread over the treatment length. Total cost varies by case (typically $4,000–$7,500), but you'll know the full number before you start.
